Our History
The origins of Sam-Son date back to 1971, when Sam-Son Distribution was established in Buffalo, NY. The advantage of a strategic geographical location coupled with superior service allowed us to grow into a major provider of outsourced warehousing and distribution services for Canadian, offshore and US based companies doing business within North America.
In 1991 Sam-Son developed a strategic alliance to offer clients warehouse solutions in California. As customers sought true just-in-time (JIT) solutions, our warehouse network was established to accomplish such goals.
Western Canada was the next North American region for growth, and our Vancouver offices established the opportunity for the Sam-Son alliance. Today, we operate modern facilities throughout North America with over 3.2 million square feet of warehouse space.
Our world headquarters are located just minutes from the US-Canadian Border crossing and the Greater Buffalo and Niagara International Airport. Because of our extensive network of contract carriers, we are able to offer a one-day shipping radius to 46% of the US population and 52% of the Canadian population. Our two-day shipping radius reaches over 65% of the US population!
Our West Coast facilities have a one-day shipping radius to 18% of the US population, and a two-day shipping radius of 25% of the population. No matter where your customers are throughout North America, your deliveries will always be prompt and efficient!
